Qualifications

  • Time served HGV Motor Vehicle Mechanic with proven experience.
  • Qualified in vehicle maintenance and repair with recognized training.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on Council owned fleet of HGV vehicles.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition.

Location: Inverness
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £31,966 - £35,497 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: Carrying out repairs and maintenance to Council owned fleet of HGV vehicles, plant and equipment.

Requirements
  1. Time Served HGV Motor Vehicle Mechanic
  2. Experience in the repair and maintenance of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) and construction plant.
  3. Holds proof of recognised trade training and be time-served in the repair and maintenance of HGV motor vehicles.
  4. Qualified to City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 or Scotvec National Certificate (or similar) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
