We have exciting opportunities for highly motivated, flexible, and hardworking individuals to join our Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) Cancer Administration Teams. You will provide comprehensive clerical support and will work closely with healthcare professionals. You will be required to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines. It is essential that you are highly organised and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

MDTs discuss and plan care for all patients with a diagnosis of cancer or a suspected cancer. The post-holder will be expected to help prepare, organise, and support MDT meetings to ensure patient pathways are progressed.
The role includes preparing, producing, and distributing lists of patients for discussion at the MDT meeting and capturing accurate data during the MDT, live typing to the patients' medical record, and using medical terminology. You will play an important part in tracking the patient journey from the point of GP referral to treatment and be responsible for ensuring that required datasets are collated and accurately entered, to comply with local and national expectations and standards in terms of the Cancer Outcomes & Services Dataset, Cancer Waiting Times, Chemotherapy, and National Audit data. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills; work well under pressure and on their own initiative. We require an individual with administrative experience, competent IT skills, and strong attention to detail.

To provide administrative and clerical support to an MDT service. The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a full and effective administrative and clerical support service to an MDT. He/she will also be responsible for inputting data onto the cancer database [PPM] database system and producing reports as required. The post-holder will be expected to arrange and plan her/his own work on a day-to-day basis within the overall demands and priorities of the department.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
