An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Matron for their Clinical Support Division. We wish to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to take on the challenging role of Matron within the Clinical Support Division. The post holder will join the senior leadership team and will work closely with the Lead Clinicians and Specialty General Managers for Critical Care and CCOT.
The Critical Care/CCOT Matron will be a key role in the continued development of our Critical Care/CCOT services in transforming the experience of our patients. This role will focus on the Quality and Safety agenda supporting our clinical teams to give the safest quality care for patients within the Critical Care environment. This role will lead the development of a new Quality and Safety strategy within the department.
The Matron will oversee and line manage the Specialist Nursing Teams. This role will provide visible and dynamic leadership for our teams to deliver continued improvements.

The Matron will be accountable for the Quality and Safety agenda within Critical Care and CCOT guaranteeing provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing practice which will be delivered within Critical Care and Outreach settings. The Matron will be a strong clinical leader, easily identifiable, highly visible and accessible to patients, carers and staff. He/she will have a particular responsibility to support the developments of Clinical Governance and Service Improvement, to modernise patient services and ensure the active involvement of patients and carers in the way services are developed, delivered and evaluated.
