Qualifications

Job description

Contract type: Variable Hours – Fixed Term until September 2025

Location: Brighton Head Office

Salary: up to £33.57

To teach the Maths module ‘Digital SAT Maths’ online to High School students aged 16 – 18 in the Middle East. The Maths module will prepare students for the North American College Board Digital SAT Maths test.


ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Planning and preparing digital online lessons in line with SGDL expectations, using appropriate teaching methods and resources.
  • Assisting in the development of modules from existing module specifications.
  • Providing feedback and direction to students in self-study and assessment preparation tasks.
  • Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative assessment, marking, and providing quality feedback to students.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the virtual learning environment (VLE).
  • Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
  • Reviewing your own professional development and identifying any training needs.
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance.
  • Providing continual feedback on student performance and participation.
  • Providing, when/if required, academic learning support to a small number of students.
  • Participating in regular meetings with both teaching and support staff.
  • Supporting with any other tasks or activities to support digital students learning, experience, or progression needs as set by the Digital Academic Programme Lead.
ABOUT YOU
  • A degree or equivalent in a related subject area. (essential)
  • A recognised teaching qualification. (desirable)
  • Fluent spoken and written English. (essential)
  • Teaching experience, delivering Mathematics programmes within a Further Education or High School context. (essential)
  • Teaching experience in digital online programmes (desirable)
  • Experience of working with international students (desirable)
