Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a Maths Teacher position in Eastleigh, starting in September 2025. This role is suitable for Qualified Teachers (QTS), Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and Overseas-Trained Teachers. Talented and experienced Teaching Assistants looking to transition into teaching are also encouraged to apply.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver well-structured and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring that all students, regardless of ability, are supported and challenged to reach their full potential. You will join a welcoming Mathematics department that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and creativity in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging, and inclusive.
  • Encourage mathematical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving in all students.
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and department resources.
  • Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and implement interventions where needed.
  • Create a positive and focused learning environment that promotes academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each student’s academic journey.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECT status, or a recognised overseas teaching qualification
  • Specialism in Mathematics with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting all learners to achieve
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
  • Previous school-based experience as a Maths Teaching Assistant will be considered favourably.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
