Job Title: Maths Lecturer

Location: Opportunities across Essex for a college group in Basildon / Southend / Thurrock

Salary: Up to £38 per hour, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time / Part-Time options available

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join a dynamic college group in Essex. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to students across various levels, helping them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students at different levels.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Develop innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with college policies and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous teaching experience in Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching and student success.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
