Job description

This institution is a leading institution committed to academic excellence and student success. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and support students in achieving their full potential. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Maths Lecturer:
  1. Deliver engaging and well-structured lectures in mathematics at [Further Education (FE) / Higher Education (HE)] level.
  2. Develop and update course materials in line with curriculum requirements.
  3. Use a range of teaching methodologies to support diverse learners.
  4. Assess and provide feedback on student work to support academic progress.
  5. Conduct tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions where applicable.
  6. Support students with academic guidance and career advice.
  7. Engage in research and professional development to enhance teaching practice.
  8. Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and quality assurance processes.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  2. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to obtain one.
  3. Experience teaching maths at [FE/HE] level.
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills as a Maths Lecturer.
  5. Passion for teaching and supporting student success.
