ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

Seeking a Process Engineer with a firm knowledge of industrial, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering. The Process Engineer will be responsible for handling product/process development projects from inception through first article approval utilizing standard manufacturing processes as well as rapid prototype technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, document, and refine written processes and SOPs to optimize production efficiency and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
2. Identify and implement best practices to improve workflows and enhance product quality.
3. Provide technical support and collaborate with various departments to resolve production challenges.
4. Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations within the production environment.
5. Conduct quality assurance checks, root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to meet quality standards.
6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
7. Support new product development by designing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes.
8. Manage and execute projects to improve production capabilities, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
9. Maintain accurate documentation of process changes and report progress to the Management Team.
10. Foster a positive workplace culture and support a balanced work-life environment for employees.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

1. DS/SX - Direct Solidification and Single Crystal OR Equiax Casting experience.
2. Knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.
3. Solid understanding of ceramic materials, their properties, and behavior in high-temperature environments.
4. Familiarity with quality standards and specifications in the aerospace industry, such as AS9100 or NADCAP.
5. Process Control methodologies and familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
6. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a concentration on metallurgical or similar degree.
