Are you a materials handler, ideally used to moving up to 7 tonnes and also experienced using a crane that's looking for a days based role with a bonus and a 9 day fortnight?

My client is a well-established manufacturer of electrical power distribution equipment seeking a Materials Handler to join their operations team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Loading and unloading various types of distribution and power transformers using overhead cranes.
2. Transporting and processing materials across two sites using forklifts and company vehicles.
3. Operating general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role.
4. Conducting quality inspections of colleagues' work.
5. Ensuring smooth operations by delivering materials in a timely manner.
6. Maintaining cleanliness and promptly reporting any issues, shortages, or equipment breakdowns.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Applicants should have:

1. Experience in a manufacturing environment (essential).
2. A Counter Balance FLT license (up to 7 tonnes) (essential).
3. A full driving license (essential).

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Flexibility in working hours and tasks is also required.
