Are you a Materials Engineer with a passion for advancing the orthopedics industry?

As a Senior Materials Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and manufacturing process optimization of critical medical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and implementation of material and process specifications in collaboration with design, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
  2. Conduct research and analysis of material properties, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical characteristics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and patient safety.
  3. Develop and execute testing plans for material validation and performance assessment, including fatigue, wear, and biocompatibility testing.
  4. Provide expert materials guidance throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to post-market support.
  5. Troubleshoot material-related issues in the manufacturing process and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
  1. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in materials engineering, ideally within the medical device industry.
  3. Hands-on experience with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and porous coatings for orthopaedic implants.
  4. Proficient in material characterisation techniques (microscopy, spectroscopy, mechanical testing).
