Expleo Engineering are seeking a Materials Design Engineer on behalf of our client to be responsible for researching and analysing the structures and chemical properties of both natural and synthetic materials through experiments and computer modeling. This contract position will be located at our client’s site in Gaydon.

Responsibilities of the Materials Design Engineer include:

1. Identifying methods to enhance or combine materials, or to create new ones with specific properties tailored for diverse products and applications.
2. Conducting tests to evaluate materials' compliance with specifications, including mechanical strength, strength-to-weight ratio, ductility, as well as magnetic and electrical properties.
3. Assessing materials for resistance to abrasion, corrosion, extreme temperatures, and recommend them for dependable performance across various environments.
4. Testing products rigorously to ensure they meet all required quality and safety standards.
