Qualifications

  • Resolve receiving issues like overstock and shortages.

Job title: Materials Planner
Job location: South East London
Hourly pay rate: £19.94 PAYE/£25.34 Umbrella
Shifts: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
Duration: 1 year minimum
Start date: ASAP


Industries considered: All Warehouse backgrounds - Rolling Stock, Automotive and Aerospace is desirable


Disciplines considered: Materials Controller, Stores and Materials Scheduler and Planner

Position Summary:
Work as part of a Logistics team led by the Stores Team Leader. The post holder's key duties are to control materials from suppliers to key internal departments. Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Express delivery needs to Suppliers
  2. Follow up deliveries and ensure the availability of goods for Alstom projects
  3. Monitor Supplier's performances KPI's
  4. Ensure and update the accuracy of material planning master data (in compliance with stock and logistic constraints)
  5. Create the Material Planning documents (Call-off, Schedule Agreement) & respective Source List
  6. Communicate the Material Planning documents to Suppliers and follow Suppliers confirmation
  7. Analyse Suppliers confirmations vs. Alstom needs and evaluate the risk/impact anticipation on production/projects
  8. Identify priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation and set up recovery actions
  9. Maintain delivery dates in terms of OTIF
  10. Track missing parts until stock availability
  11. Resolve Receiving issues (overstock, shortage, damage, documentation, etc.)
  12. Analyse and share deliveries performances KPI's with different stakeholders (Internal & External)
  13. Contribute to new business risk assessments and mitigation action plan

Personal Profile:

  • Basic PC skills, i.e: Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Previous experience with SAP and/or Maximo systems would be advantageous
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills
