The Role:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager you will support across logistics, production planning and people resource management. You will support with analysis of the logistics performance, drive continuous improvement and be customer facing both internal and external. The department is managed and sustained using the 5S methodology.
Core duties include:
Achieve customer delivery targets
Support with health & safety
Achieve customer quality standards IATF 16949
Monitor & analyse performance
Maximise efficiency of operations via LEAN approach
Liaise with customers
Support Logistics Manager with budgets
Ad-hoc tasks
What you need:
Experience in the logistics function within a manufacturing business
HNC/Equiv in Logstics & Transport
IATF16949 procedures
Experience in the Automotive industry (EDI scheduling)
Customer service experience
Analytical skills
A high level of IT experience including Excel and ERP systems
