Material Handler Job

Our polymer manufacturing plant in Birdsboro, PA is looking for a Material Handler/Machine Operator to support production operations. Major highlights regarding employment as a Material Handler:

1. Wage: $28.82/hr to start plus $.75 for 2nd shift and $1 for 3rd shift.
2. Shift: 8hrs each shift, rotates weekly between 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
3. Schedule: 5-7 days in a row with days off in-between rotations.
4. Overtime: average of 4-8 hours weekly, paid for over 8 hours worked in a day and over 40 weekly.
5. Environment: Union.

PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Operate packaging equipment and maintain daily packaging process efficiencies.
2. Transfer raw materials.
3. Transfer finished materials between warehouses.
4. Housekeeping.
5. Assist emptying finished product out of industrial dryers.
6. Comply with all technical, quality control, product manufacturing and safety procedures associated with Packaging.
7. Operate equipment for various processing systems.
8. Operate powered industrial trucks.
9. Have physical dexterity in climbing stairs, ladders, heavy lifting.
10. Basic computer knowledge.
11. Other operator assistance tasks and general duties as needed and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Must demonstrate basic math skills.
3. Must be willing to be subject to pre-employment testing including drug and alcohol and physical testing.
4. Prefer experience in manufacturing type of work and chemical plant production experience strongly desired; similar skills/experience will be considered.
5. Prefer fork lift (tow motor) experience.
6. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
