Job Description

Working with the warehouse team you will ensure that products are received, put away, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently, following the necessary protocols.

Location/Division Specific Information:

This role is based at our Loughborough, UK site, supporting our Laboratory Chemicals Division. We distil, pack, and ship laboratory analytical reagents and other chemicals that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

How Will You Make an Impact?

You will be an integral part of the site's supply chain and play a key part in receiving, storing, and distributing products to ensure we meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

A Day in the Life:
  • Attend and participate in daily departmental tier meetings
  • Receive external deliveries
  • Confirm reception of deliveries by booking into the systems
  • Transact inventory movements with systems
  • Carry out cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Palletise completed packs and assist with the movement of raw materials and finished goods
  • Sample materials for QC analysis
  • Unload road tankers into bulk tank storage
  • Deliver materials to production areas
  • Carry out PPI activities
  • Prepare waste chemicals for storage and transportation
  • Carry out cleaning and validation of returnable containers
Education:

High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.

Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or related field
  • Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Be able to follow site H&S and Quality procedures and policies
  • Be able to use MRP/ERP systems
  • Be able to understand and follow SOPs, BPIs & working instructions
  • Chemical awareness knowledge
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Face fit testing
