Purpose of the Role

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a Material Controller / Planner who is looking to gain experience in a fast-growing, award-winning, global semiconductor company. Working alongside our existing Material Control team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the control of parts to Manufacturing and spares and service department in the business as their primary role.

Your Day to Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop and manage detailed production plans, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and production capabilities.
  • Release work orders and monitor their progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure the timely receipt and delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and address material shortages, expediting orders as necessary to support production schedules.
  • Manage spares planning, ensuring timely delivery to distribution centers and minimizing downtime.
  • Optimize inventory levels to reduce excess and obsolescence while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production needs.
  • Utilize ERP systems, such as SAP, to manage and track production and inventory data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance, material availability, and inventory levels.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Has experience in manufacturing and production planning.
  • Is proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
