The role
As an Ecommerce Marketplace Assistant, you'll make sure that our online customers always see our best, most-commercial side and that we're always delivering the unique shopping experiences that people love. By analysing sales data and seasonal trends, you'll know just how to display products for maximum commercial performance at any given time and, by curating product images, you'll ensure that we're always looking and performing at our best. Stocked up. Ranges bang up-to-date. Seasonally focused. You'll understand customer journeys and make sure they always lead to that special brand of satisfaction that Clarks is known for.
A lot of what you do will hinge on the relationships you develop with our third-party ecommerce partners - supporting the delivery of sales and profits from our owned EU channel - clarks.eu as well as playing a leading role in supporting with the delivery and day to day management of ecommerce marketplaces as we look to grow in this space across UK & EMEA. You will make performance-boosting recommendations, implement tests to ensure accuracy and functionality of all data feeds. By doing this, you'll help drive our EMEA strategy forward but you'll also take the initiative when it comes to looking for new markets to explore. We've got big plans for our ecommerce partnerships to be completed by the end of 2025. Joining our team is your chance to achieve great things in your career at a truly world-class business.
A bit about you
You know what's important in ecommerce. You've seen what healthy, profitable ecommerce partner relationships look like and how they're maintained. And you understand how the footwear retail industry works in UK and (or) EMEA markets. You know that it's about working seasonally. You understand all the work that goes into meeting important on-sale dates. And you have an eye for detail when it comes to product images, identifying SLA risk factors and monitoring stock data levels. It's about being on top of everything so that our retail plans can proceed unimpeded in all markets. Because you know that, when things go right, it's better for the customer and the business.
As you'll have learned in previous roles, each ecommerce role comes with its own ecommerce systems and tools (with Microsoft Office as standard) so it's important you can learn the ropes quickly and are comfortable managing direct commerce sites. You'll be entering a fast-paced environment working closely with multiple partners. Always ready to communicate effectively and immediately - looking to develop great relationships with internal and external collaborators. And you're always looking beyond the horizon for new ecommerce frontiers to conquer. That sense of adventure, is what attracted you to ecommerce in the first place. This is your chance to do what you do best for one of the very best names in retail.
About Clarks
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that's remained at the heart of what the brand does now.
In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature - a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.
