As a Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the Marketing Director and be an integral part of our innovative Marketing Planning Team for books. Role Responsibilities:

  1. Craft Customer Journeys: Design and implement engaging customer journeys and programs that keep our authors informed, delighted, and loyal to Springer Nature.
  2. Drive Author Satisfaction: Ensure our authors have a seamless post-publication experience, empowering them to promote their work and become enthusiastic brand advocates.
  3. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments, including other marketing teams, Publishing, Market Intelligence, and Data and Technology, to execute coordinated digital marketing campaigns.
  4. Analyze and Optimize: Track and analyze marketing efforts to measure effectiveness and report on results, ensuring continuous improvement.
  5. Innovate and Inspire: Stay ahead of industry trends and competition, generating fresh campaign ideas and identifying new opportunities.
  6. Lead Special Campaigns: Manage or support special campaigns that drive our marketing goals and contribute to the larger marketing group's success.
  7. Drive Change: Proactively seek opportunities to add value to the business and drive positive change.
  8. Build Relationships: Develop and sustain productive relationships with internal and external customers, fostering a collaborative environment.
  9. Create and Execute: Independently create new campaigns from concept to completion, displaying your creativity and initiative.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  2. Fluency in spoken and written English.
  3. Demonstrable digital marketing experience.
  4. Full understanding of B2C marketing funnels, digital channels and tactics.
  5. Knowledge and experience with Google Analytics to track KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  6. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and persuade.
  8. Strong ability to self-organize, prioritize and multitask.
  9. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain global relationships and gain cooperation from other functional groups and stakeholders.
  10. Ability to proactively facilitate change and use initiative to solve problems quickly.
  11. Creative, forward-thinking, proactive, and self-motivated.
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  13. An interest in academic and scientific publishing.

Desirable:
  1. Marketing experience in global publishing.
  2. Understanding of academic publishing and target markets.
  3. Familiarity with the academic landscape, including libraries, faculty, and researchers.
  4. Experience creating customer journeys.
  5. Experience working with CRM systems.
  6. Knowledge of how to use AI tools for marketing automation, content creation and workflow optimization.
  7. Social media marketing.

This information is only applicable to US-based candidates and the actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. Salary ranges differ by country due to various local market considerations. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $67,000 - $77,000.
