Marketing Manager - Raw Selection

Location: Leeds, UK
Salary: £35k to £45k Basic + OTE £40k to £55k

Raw Selection is a genuine executive search firm located in Leeds City Centre that works exclusively with Private Equity firms to secure executive talent. Our Founder, Alex Rawlings, built the business with one goal—to become the No.1 executive search firm in Private Equity, and we need your help to achieve that.

We're looking for an ambitious, career-focused Marketing Manager to take full ownership of our marketing strategy and execution.

The Mission

The mission of the Marketing Manager is simple - own the marketing function and drive growth.


This means:

  1. Building Brand Awareness: Strengthening our presence across our podcast, YouTube, book, and other channels.
  2. Driving Candidate & Client Engagement: Creating a best-in-class experience that attracts and retains top talent and clients.
  3. Lead Generation: Partnering with the sales team to generate new business and clients.
  4. Marketing Strategy & Execution: Taking ownership, tracking performance, and continuously optimising.
  5. Efficiency & Automation: Finding ways to automate, delegate, and optimise marketing tasks.
  6. Leadership: Our standards in leadership are incredibly high; we demand feedback from the team on how we can improve, and for an experienced people manager, the opportunity is here to lead.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:
  1. Experience in a B2B marketing role
  2. Execution & Strategy Balance - You've done the hands-on work and built marketing strategies.
  3. Experience with proposals, marketing collateral, and lead generation.
  4. Ability to connect marketing efforts directly to business growth.
  5. A track record of problem-solving and delivering tangible results.
  6. A desire to challenge the status quo.

Accelerators but not essential:
  1. Marketing experience in a services-based business
  2. Experience managing offshore freelancers (Upwork, Fiverr, etc.).
  3. Marketing qualifications.
  4. Leadership or management experience.
  5. Familiarity with AI tools and marketing automation.
  6. Knowledge of connecting marketing with revenue and the wider business.
