Marketing Lead

The marketing team sets the vision and activates marketing activity across all brands in the group. The Marketing Lead is a generalist marketing role which will get exposure to all brands and many of the marketing functions, but with particular emphasis on building our international and digital events calendar.

As the Marketing Lead, you will lead the marketing for a number of the brands in the group, as well as playing a key role in shaping and executing our international and digital events strategy.

You will oversee the full marketing mix for the brands you account manage, along with a more directional role for events and community activity across the whole group.

The business is at an exciting point in its growth journey, meaning this role strikes a nice balance between being hands on with delivery balanced with vision and strategy development for the next phase of expansion.

Key Duties

  • Account management be the primary marketing contact for a number of our brands to and collaborating across the marketing team to ensure their needs are met.
  • Develop and execute the events and community marketing strategy across BGI brands, driving attendance and engagement for both in-person and digital events.
  • Social & email marketing work with the marketing team and brand leaders to execute the content strategy across your brands
  • Plan, promote, and deliver high-impact B2B events, including talks, roundtables, networking sessions, and webinars.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align event marketing with business objectives and target audiences.
  • Sales materials development work with the marketing team to ensure all brands have on brand materials to work with
  • Lead the creation of event and community led content to bring alive the power of events and community to a wider audience
  • Manage event logistics, from venue selection and speaker coordination to digital platform setup and post-event analysis.
  • Build and nurture industry communities, positioning the BGI brands as thought leaders and trusted partners within our key sectors.
  • Measure and report on event performance, using insights to optimise future events and community initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or community building
  • A strategic and creative marketer who understands how to drive audience engagement through events and content.
  • Experience planning and executing in-person and digital events, from concept to post-event analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable working with stakeholders, speakers, and external partners.
  • Experience using marketing tools such as email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp), event management software, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Data-driven mindset, able to measure event success and optimise future campaigns based on insights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • International mindset—experience with global events or working across multiple regions is a plus.
