Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer

Hours: 8 per week

Contract: Part Time, 3 month probationary period

Salary: £22,000 pro rata (8hrs - £4,662.00)

Location: Nottingham & Nottinghamshire

Transport: Car driver desirable but not essential

About Us:

Support Through Sport CIC are seeking an enthusiastic, positive and forward-thinking Marketing Executive to join our rapidly growing organisation. We work across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire to provide impactful sport and mentoring interventions to young people within disadvantaged and underserved communities.

We deliver a range of sports sessions, mentoring programmes, workshops, activities, and youth development projects across 16 engagement areas. We are looking for an energetic marketing executive to share the mission, vision, and aims of the organisation through a creative and engaging lens.

We use these positive initiatives as diversion and intervention programmes to support young people whilst tackling negative influences such as knife crime, gang violence, youth offending, and serious youth violence. As this role includes direct interactions with children and young people, you will be required to complete the following:

  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Training
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • GDPR Training

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Raising the profile of Support Through Sport and its impactful work, through various media platforms and physical promotion methods.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of marketing campaigns, aligning to the organisation’s aims and objectives and wider sport for development/youth work strategies.
  • Raising the profile of regular programmes and activities of Support Through Sport, through social media and physical promotion methods.
  • Support the creation and implementation of a bespoke marketing and communications strategy which effectively promotes the organisation and increases engagement.
  • To maintain website content and ensure up-to-date information is publicised on all platforms.
  • Identify and attend local events to promote Support Through Sport’s work, whilst exploring scope for collaboration.
  • To ensure a professional and positive image of Support Through Sport in all aspects and maintain this image through regular engagement with the staff team.
  • To ensure that internal and external documentation is aligned to the organisations brand guidelines.
  • To draft and scrutinise publicity and PR related communication for external publications.
  • To manage a team of supporting marketing and communications assistants, including task/project management, delegation, and regular meetings.
  • To attend regular meetings and occasional events, relevant to your role.
  • To develop and implement structured, forward-thinking marketing and promotions plans, ensuring regular engagement and providing practical targets.
  • To support stakeholder management using a CRM system and maintaining a mailing list for organisational contacts.

This will give us an opportunity to observe if you are the right fit for the role and also allows you to ‘try us out’. After this time, you will have a meeting with the HR Manager to discuss moving you into a more permanent role.

You will be required to have an enhanced DBS check which Support Through Sport will pay for. You will also be expected to comply with our Health and Safety requirements and all other relevant policies.
