Marketing Director
Strategy, planning and leadership are at the heart of our Marketing Director's responsibilities, taking responsibility for developing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's objectives and positioning Integral’s brands effectively in the UK and European markets. Encompassing the full marketing mix, the responsibilities include strategic planning, market research & analysis, brand marketing (including creative and campaign management), marketing communications, digital and media marketing and PR.
Taking ownership of strategic planning to ensure that our marketing efforts are proactive, targeted, and yielding a high return on investment, both in financial and volume distribution terms. Sitting as part of the senior management team, the Marketing Director will own the interface of marketing with the rest of the business, putting in place processes to deliver efficient trade and digital marketing solutions and campaigns, whilst leading the marketing team to deliver fully on organisational goals for brand, consumer and client data, sales enablement, and ROI.
Own the Marketing strategy:
To efficiently manage the marketing team, putting in place reporting processes and structuring the team to deliver on stakeholder expectations. Develop, articulate and deliver a clear strategy for the business' marketing activities that will support brand awareness and drive product demand in line with the company's growth strategy. Develop an understanding of our products, channels, audiences, competition, and customer journeys to help better inform marketing activities. Ensure collaboration with Sales and Product Management departments to develop and define marketing strategies that will drive and increase the volume of qualified sales leads and brand awareness across a range of marketing channels. Develop and implement customer account focused marketing strategies to deepen relationships with existing customers and provide upsell opportunities. Build a commercial awareness of our products, positioning and pricing to advise and develop creative marketing-led strategies for brand and product positioning. Demonstrate a solid understanding of marketing best practices and processes across the full spectrum of the marketing mix, acting as a specialist advisor on marketing topics in strategic discussions and decision making.
To deliver strategic objectives, through the marketing team, in the following key areas:
Product marketing
- In conjunction with Product Managers for LED and Memory products, to co-ordinate and direct the end-to-end new product launch marketing strategy from initial discussions around the product through to implementation of campaigns and activities across digital and traditional marketing that cover: product descriptions, website, SEO, PPC, landing pages, paid social, LinkedIn, email, launch flyers, brochures, PoS material, copy, content & video, e-commerce sites, lead generation, PR, influencer marketing, and more.
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Design & Video, Sales, E-Commerce, and Product Teams to help ideate, define, and establish product marketing strategies behind new product launches and marketing initiatives across B2B and B2C channels.
Brand marketing
- Oversee and own the business brand guidelines, all content/collateral and materials that are created, ensuring consistency and continuity of message across all channels.
- Oversee and develop strategies and processes to improve graphic design and product photography methods and styles for increased brand awareness.
- Own the overall strategy and delivery for branded content: brochures, catalogues, price lists, PoS material, merchandise, in-store promotional activity and products, etc.
Marketing communications
- Lead and direct our B2B marketing activities which will include Improvements to website, SEO, creation of catalogues, price lists and display materials, trade shows, paid social, PPC, product descriptions, email marketing, and content marketing, and more.
- Lead and direct our B2C marketing activities which will include: A spectrum of digital marketing activities, the use of influencers, content & video, and more.
- Lead and direct the development of our B2B email databases through lead capture and identification of relevant databases.
- Planned automated CRM campaigns, creating and delivering a marketing plan to maximise use of newsletters, email and other direct communications using the CRM.
Digital Marketing
- Take responsibility for the design, performance, and continuous improvement of all digital / web public platforms and assets (including the websites) to reach a wider audience and establish an ever-increasing online presence.
- Develop, implement, and manage online marketing strategies to promote our products using various digital channels, to capitalise on e-commerce opportunities.
- Leverage the internet and technology to reach and engage target audiences, drive conversions, and achieve business goals.
- Perform market research, strategize with other marketing professionals and create content to aid in the success of marketing campaigns.
- Plan and oversee the execution of all web, SEO, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
E-commerce
- Build B2B, B2C and D2C e-commerce strategies in selected countries.
- Improve SEO, PPC, Google ads and other e-commerce methodologies to improve reach and exposure.
- Identify audiences and customer groups, establishing strategies to engage with and encourage engagement in all our sales channels.
- Build and execute individual strategies for specialist markets like electricians, installers, distributors, specifiers, etc to drive sales.
Marketing analysis / Data
- Oversee, and take responsibility for implementing and managing data management, CRM and reporting strategies with the team and business leaders.
- Create marketing KPIs and provide monthly reporting to senior management to track progress in meeting our strategic goals.
- Be accountable for measuring, analysing and reporting marketing campaign results.
- Ensure that marketing campaigns are carefully considered, planned, costed and monitored for success.
- Analysis of marketing data and reporting of trends, producing insight reports and feeding back strategic information for capitalising on opportunities and ironing out problems pro-actively.
- Research competitors and report on trends, new developments and useful information to help differentiate Integral in all relevant markets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Head of Marketing, Marketing Director, CMO or similar within a product and e-commerce focused mid-size marketing department.
- Demonstrable experience of building and executing a marketing strategy that positively impacts awareness and growth in B2B and B2C environments.
- A blend of experience and knowledge across both digital and traditional marketing.
- A relevant degree-level qualification, supported by a professional qualification like CIMA, or similar.
- Entrepreneurial flair, a commercial mindset, and a drive to take on responsibility, grow a team, and solve problems.
- A proven record of accomplishment of building and developing high performing marketing teams within growing businesses.
- Have a good understanding of how to manage and utilise data.
- Broad experience across online and offline marketing channels.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- A ‘hands on’ and practical approach, acts strategically whilst leading and directing on execution and implementation.
