Job description

Columbia is looking for a progressive Marketing Coordinator to provide support to the Marketing team and effectively and creatively manage marketing campaigns across our incredible roster of artists. You will report directly to senior members of the marketing team and aid in coordinating an eclectic mix of development and high-profile campaigns whilst also help with the consistent inner workings of the label.

Closely working with the marketing and digital teams, artist management, other Sony Music departments and external agencies. You will have space to be inventive and work alongside A&R and the creative team to articulate artist positioning and identify short- and long-term campaign objectives.

We are looking for individuals who understand the evolving music marketing trends. You should have previous marketing assisting experience, including working digital aspects of a campaign. Be an ‘ambassador’ for the label. Work closely with marketing teams and other areas of the business to find out about new releases, new signings, remixes etc.

What you'll do:
  • You will assist across artist marketing campaigns from concept to execution; you will provide administrative support across the marketing team, including correspondence, general enquiries, ticket ordering. Ensuring all parties have campaign information, updates, and relevant stats in a timely manner.
  • You will work on both established and developing artists, either assisting, or collaborating with other teams to articulate and support imagery: including styling, photo shoots and videos.
  • You will oversee on content development, commissioning creative assets and visuals relating to the campaign as well as support with concept suggestions and ideas for campaigns.
  • You will liaise with artist management and other internal departments working on the campaign.
  • Finance – look after purchase orders for all marketing related invoices and keep budget sheets up to date and tracked correctly.
  • Asset management – help coordinate and deliver assets for releases and content across campaigns.
  • Work closely with the digital team to support smooth execution of activations and online activity.
  • Keep across market developments, new technologies, developing trends.
  • You will be responsible for assisting on the planning of content marketing, CRM growth strategy, and digital partnership opportunities alongside the digital, sales and international teams.
  • You will work with the digital partnerships team to develop and pitch the playlist strategies to DSPs.
  • Help with communications and deliverables for Digital Agencies or third parties to ensure social media plans are carried out effectively.
Who you are:
  • Previous experience in music marketing, ideally working at a record label or music distribution company.
  • Existing relationships with digital platforms & online partners, influencers, and brands is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design, in addition to a strategic marketer who is driven by innovation and understands how to communicate effectively & measure results.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable; no task is too small.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or the equivalent Mac office programs.
  • Experience working in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Premiere or Final Cut) is helpful.
  • Experience with digital marketing analytics tools and streaming / music consumption tools.
  • Openness to learn new skills and work as a team.
  • Highly organised and can multi-task while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, goals, targets and time, and to work independently.
  • Confidently deals with people at all levels internally & externally.
  • A team player who can be relied upon to participate as needed during busy periods.
