Job Summary

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead and manage all aspects of MYTIME's communications strategy. This role is crucial in ensuring consistent, clear, and impactful messaging across PR, internal and external communications, and branding efforts. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Marketing & Communications Manager will also contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation, supporting organisational growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

Media Management
  1. Manage media relations, press releases, and press engagement to elevate MYTIME's brand and awareness.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
  3. Reach out to brand ambassadors, media and beyond to manage press opportunities in order to secure story placement on a national and global level.
  4. Lead crisis communication efforts to protect and enhance the organisation's reputation.
Internal Communications
  1. Ensure employees are well-informed and engaged through regular newsletters, internal meetings, and internal updates.
  2. Develop strategies to foster a strong internal culture and clear organisational messaging.
Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, donors, and policymakers.
  2. Develop engagement strategies to strengthen relationships and enhance MYTIME's impact.
Corporate Messaging & Branding
  1. Develop and maintain consistent messaging across all platforms, ensuring alignment with MYTIME's mission and goals.
  2. Oversee brand guidelines and ensure communication materials adhere to branding standards.
Speechwriting & Executive Communication
  1. Draft speeches, presentations, and key messaging for senior leadership and spokespeople.
  2. Support leadership in delivering impactful communication at public and internal events.
Crisis Management
  1. Lead crisis communication planning and execution, ensuring appropriate responses during sensitive or high-profile situations.
  2. Proactively manage MYTIME's brand reputation, identifying and mitigating risks.
Event Communications
  1. Oversee messaging for corporate events, campaign launches, conferences, and fundraising initiatives.
  2. Ensure events align with MYTIME's mission and contribute to brand visibility.
  3. Represent MYTIME at trade, media, press or customer-focused events.
Senior Leadership & Strategic Contribution
  1. Contribute to MYTIME's strategic direction as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  2. Collaborate with other senior leaders to align communications with organisational objectives.
  3. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to communications team members.

What We're Looking For

  1. Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, and branding.
  2. Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience in speechwriting and executive communication.
  3. Experience of creating impactful content and campaigns using multiple channels and platforms.
  4. Experience of qualitative research, including conducting interviews, developing case studies and drawing insights from talking to stakeholders.
  5. Good organisational, planning, and project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  6. Experience managing stakeholder engagement and media relations.
  7. Ability to handle crisis communications and manage reputational risk.
  8. Strong understanding of internal communications and employee engagement.
  9. Strategic mindset with the ability to align communications with organisational objectives.
  10. Leadership experience, with the ability to contribute at a senior level.
