Job description

Role Overview

Allego Charging is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead strategic marketing efforts while supporting business development initiatives. This role focuses on driving external marketing campaigns and maximising the utilisation of our existing EV charger network. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns and business development strategies, all while contributing to the growth of sustainable transportation across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Development and execution of marketing campaigns to enhance Allego Charging’s brand across the UK.
  2. Manage bids and tenders.
  3. Identify new opportunities through strategic partnerships.
  4. Design and implement utilisation strategies to maximise the performance and adoption of Allego’s existing EV charger estate.
  5. External marketing activities to strengthen Allego’s market presence.
  6. Conduct market research and analyse data to refine marketing strategies and support tender submissions.
  7. Create marketing content and collateral to support both external and internal communications.
  8. Build relationships with partners, clients, and internal teams.
  9. Manage and oversee Point Of Interest (POI) data, ensuring Allego’s charging locations are accurately represented on external platforms (ZapMap, Google Maps). This involves coordinating with third-party platforms to make necessary corrections and updates as required.
  10. Assist in the development of compelling and innovative client presentations, ensuring they are polished, and where possible, automated or immersive.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Proven experience in marketing with a strong understanding of bid and tendering processes.
  2. Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and marketing materials.
  3. Strong project management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  4. Analytical and data-driven approach to optimise campaigns and utilisation strategies.
  5. A proactive and innovative mindset, with a focus on delivering creative solutions and achieving results.
  6. Knowledge of the EV charging or energy sector is highly desirable.
  7. Experience in driving the utilisation of physical assets, such as networks or infrastructure, is a plus.
  8. Collaborative and team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Role will be remote-based but expectations of travel to Allego office in Milton Keynes or other offices as required.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Proficiency with marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
