Job description

Join us in an exciting phase of our transformation journey!

At Haymarket Business Media, we specialise in creating world-class content, events, and digital experiences across a wide range of industries. We have over 15 market-leading brands across three sectors - Marcoms, Energy and Environment, and Medical. We're now looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to engage our audiences across all our brands. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and are ready to make a significant impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

This role will require you to be a subject matter expert for Haymarket Business Media's marketing technologies, supporting marketing teams and offshore colleagues, on how to optimise and best deliver campaigns using marketing data/technology/automation.

  • Work with marketing teams across the business to gain an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and campaign management needs.
  • Build both one-off and automated/triggered campaigns for lead generation, onboarding, lead nurture, sales conversion, and engagement.
  • Support the operational product launch process for campaigns and automated journeys, including email development (design, copy, audience QA) and program build.
  • Deliver regular comprehensive reporting on campaign performance and business impact to key stakeholders, identifying opportunities to optimise performance.
  • Help define and support campaign automation and best practices.
  • Maintain and improve company-wide processes to ensure quality checkpoints are in place as part of the email deployment process.
  • Serve as an advocate for GDPR and data privacy law/compliance, particularly in the context of email operations.
  • Provide insight and support for marketing users in understanding the meaning and best use of data, to encourage a more data-driven approach and increase the impact of database marketing activities and ensure campaign success.
  • Identify opportunities where automation could reduce manual tasks/free up time, or improve customer experience across both Campaign and Bulletin programs.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to outsourced campaign team members in the successful execution of complex campaigns.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria

We are looking for a creative and commercially minded individual who is:

  • Curious & Proactive: You enjoy exploring new ideas and are driven to solve problems—even when they're not clearly defined.
  • Data-Savvy Communicator: You're adept at interpreting data and can communicate insights effectively across audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with email marketing platforms and automation technologies is essential. Ideally, you'll have experience of using a CPD similar to Amperity or Unity as well as HTML and CSS skills.
  • Team-Oriented: You thrive in collaborative environments, supporting and learning from those around you. Ideally, you'll bring experience of coaching or training other team members.
  • Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and can work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Privacy Focused: You understand data protection and data security procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Organised & Agile: You can balance competing demands, prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

If you're ready to make an impact and grow with us, apply today!

Benefits

  • 25 days of holiday per year excluding bank holidays (increasing 1 day per year of service up to 30 days).
  • Work from anywhere in the world for up to 3 weeks of the year with our 'Work from Anywhere' days.
  • Flexible working hours (core hours from 10am-3pm) allowing you the flexibility to adapt your work schedule to your personal commitments.
  • Generous contributory pension scheme.
  • Health Cash Plans: With our health cash plans, you can access a range of healthcare benefits, including coverage for medical expenses, dental care, optical services, and more.
