Marketing Assistant

Naxos Music UK is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our busy Marketing & Press team. This is an entry-level position that would suit a recent graduate with a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Naxos Music UK Ltd is the largest classical distributor in the UK, representing some of the finest classical labels in the world, including the flagship Naxos label. We work with more than 100 independent labels and supply UK trade with more than 40,000 live titles. As well as physical distribution, Naxos Music UK Ltd handles marketing, PR, and licensing services.

The successful candidate will manage record label relations for a small group of labels, prepare new album releases for UK distribution, lead on regular e-marketing activities, and oversee Naxos Music UK’s independent retail platform, Naxos Direct UK. The ideal candidate is motivated, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, and able to make decisions using their own initiative. They are prepared to carry out regular office duties to support the Head of Marketing and wider team leads and to learn new skills to adapt to the changing landscape of the classical music industry.

Key Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day liaison with distributed labels
  • Preparing and presenting new releases for distribution within the UK market
  • Regular data entry, word processing, and proof-reading
  • Help to facilitate sales campaigns and catalogue promotion
  • Design and co-ordinate regular B2B and B2C newsletters
  • Responding to high volumes of correspondence and handling general enquiries
  • Updating and maintaining the department’s Dropbox Business account
  • Collate, process, and file key press reviews
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of NMUK’s social media

Person Specification:

  • A keen interest in the classical/jazz/music industry is preferable
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Numerical accuracy
  • Proficient digital skills (Word/Excel/Adobe PDF editor/Canva)
