Marketing and Engagement Officer (Employability)

Join us as a Marketing and Engagement Officer (Employability) at Thirteen Group!

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Marketing and Engagement Officer to join our award-winning employability team on a fixed term basis to 31st of March 2026. Internally, we call this role a Recruitment and Communications Officer. There will be occasional evening and weekend work involved which will be given back as time in lieu.

Key Responsibilities

  • You'll be responsible for actively promoting our employability service through use of social media and other effective communication methods.
  • You'll be raising awareness of the service across the Tees Valley to both professional organisations and potential participants through practical engagement methods.
  • You'll assist with the activities within employability such as marketing and promotional events, raising awareness of what is offered regarding support, jobs and training opportunities.
  • You'll develop and maintain Thirteen’s Employability team’s website ensuring the contents are creative and appropriate for all customers.

About You

  • You should have demonstrable customer service skills in a front-line role.
  • You'll be confident with IT and have the ability to complete forms in line with compliance requirements.
  • You'll need to undergo an Enhanced DBS check upon offer of employment.
  • You should have experience of marketing or engagement, ideally in a similar sector.
  • You will need a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle as there will be regular travel across the Tees Valley.
