Market Risk Analyst - Power Trading

RJC have partnered with a Global energy trader who are looking for a Market Risk Analyst with experience in physical power trading markets. The role involves analysing, monitoring, and mitigating risks within the trading portfolio, with a focus on market dynamics and risk exposure in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess risk exposure across the physical power trading portfolio, using risk models and scenario analysis.
• Generate risk reports on key metrics (VaR, P&L, margins) for stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
• Provide recommendations on risk reduction strategies, including hedging and risk management solutions, in collaboration with traders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in market risk analysis within physical power trading.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, risk metrics, and modelling techniques.
