Role Overview

Responsible for carrying out maintenance of marine vessels, plant, and machinery to ensure delivery of safe and efficient operations on and offshore and to act as a crew member on harbour vessels for tug work and outside contracts.

Successful candidates must be flexible and able to work unsocial hours.

Essential Criteria

1. Completed a recognised formal apprenticeship as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with a minimum of two years post-apprenticeship relevant experience; or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience.
2. Have successfully completed MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC1 & AEC2) or equivalent.
3. Knowledge of health and safety in an industrial environment.
4. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
5. Basic IT skills to include experience using MS Office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and other IT systems such as Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and online training platforms.
6. Full current driving licence or, in the case of disabled applicants, access to a form of transport to enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post in full.
7. Current Seafarer Medical Certificate (ENG1 or ENG11). Can be obtained upon appointment.

Desirable Criteria

1. Previous experience in marine vessel maintenance.

Additional Information

Competitive salary circa £30-£35k.
