Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of maritime staff both afloat and ashore? Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced and driven HSEQ Specialist to be part of our dynamic Maritime Safety & Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and safety of our complex maritime contracts, ensuring both health & safety and environmental standards are met to the highest level.
As the Marine HSEQ Superintendent you will work closely with the Head of Service Delivery and Head of Maritime Safety (Designated Person Ashore) to support the management of maritime contracts. Your key focus will be support and advising on health & safety and environmental practices across both afloat and shore-based operations.
To support the maritime contracts with their legal and general obligations with regards to health and safety. The marine contracts are a complex mix of ISO standards and merchant shipping regulations which requires specialist and relevant HSEQ knowledge in order to link the legislative systems ensuring safe systems of work for sea and shore staff, effective risk analysis and thorough incident investigation and subsequent reporting.
