Job Title: Marine Control Room Operator

Job Summary:
The Marine Control Room Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient monitoring and control of marine operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational procedures. This role involves operating and maintaining control systems, coordinating with vessel operations, and responding to emergencies as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and control all marine operations through the control room systems, ensuring adherence to operational and safety protocols.
2. Coordinate with deck officers, engineers, and offshore personnel to ensure seamless operations.
3. Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, system failures, and emergency situations.
4. Maintain accurate logs and records of control room activities, system performance, and operational parameters.
5. Conduct routine checks and maintenance of control room equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
6. Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
7. Support the implementation of safety and environmental management systems.
8. Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Relevant maritime qualification (e.g., STCW, DP Operator Certification, Marine CoC) preferred.
2. CRO NVQ Level 3 (preferred)
3. Tanker experience
4. Knowledge of maritime safety standards, environmental regulations, and emergency response procedures.
5. Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
6. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make quick, sound decisions.
7. Familiarity with risk assessment and hazard identification in marine operations.
8. Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and offshore assignments as required.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with SCADA, automation, and marine communication systems.
2. Certification in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) practices.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
