Marine Claims Adjuster

Your company
Your company is an international Syndicate specialising in risk on a global basis. Based in the heart of the City of London, your company is now looking for a Specialist Marine Claims Adjuster to join their organisation.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for the claims handling of a mixed and complex portfolio of a variety of Marine Claims from initial notification through to settlement. You will need to regularly adjust claims, attend market meetings, and you will be responsible for instructing and managing lawyers and experts to assist with complex issues as and when they arise.

You will also need to act as the relationship manager and key point of Claims contacts within the Marine Claims team. You will need to oversee the outsourced review and processing of monthly financial bordereaux and escalate large or more complex claims through the Claims department as required.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will need demonstrable experience within the London market of handling high value and complex Marine Claims from cradle to grave. Previous experience in adjusting a variety of Marine Sub-Class Claims is a bonus. You will need to be highly organised, with strong IT skills and highly analytical, whilst having a willingness to work in a very responsive, efficient, and collaborative manner. Personality fit is a crucial element for any candidate entering the role. You will need to be a great team player, willing to support your team and also keen to learn and develop your insurance career further.
