Job description

Are you an experienced project manager, passionate about restoring marine habitats and tackling climate change? We’re looking for a Marine Restoration Manager to lead our ambitious Wilder Humber programme—one of the largest marine restoration projects in the UK! Based at Spurn National Nature Reserve with the flexibility of hybrid working, you’ll play a key role in bringing back vital habitats like seagrass meadows, oyster reefs, saltmarsh, and sand dunes, working with an expert team to make a real difference for nature.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll lead a dedicated technical team, manage large-scale projects, oversee budgets, and work closely with partners like Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and Ørsted. You’ll also be engaging with stakeholders, securing necessary permits, and ensuring our work is grounded in solid scientific evidence. No two days will be the same: you could be out in the field one day, analysing data the next, or sharing the impact of your work at public events.

We’re looking for someone with strong project management skills, experience in marine restoration, and the ability to work with a wide range of partners and stakeholders. You’ll need to be an organised leader, confident in managing budgets, contracts, and technical delivery. A background in marine conservation or ecology is key, along with a passion for nature-based solutions. If you’re ready to take on a high-impact role and help shape the future of marine restoration, we’d love to hear from you!
