Job Description

Pro Resources is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for a client in Plymouth, IN. The Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery that packages products in vertical form-fill-seal bags. It is based on the technical understanding of the machinery, its parts, and the manufacturing of products with it. Apply Today!

Shift and Compensation

• 2nd and 3rd Shift
• Pay: $25 / hour + Shift Premium

Job Duties

• Calibrating and setting up the vertical form fill seal system machines to start production cycles
• Controlling and adjusting machine settings, such as speed and temperature, to ensure efficient operation
• Loading raw materials or parts into the machine for packaging
• Inspecting packaged products for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards
• Identifying and fixing issues that arise during operation
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines to prevent breakdowns
• Maintaining logs of machine activity, PM activities, CIL lists

Background Profile

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or GED.
• Vocational Training: Vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding how machinery works and being able to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring that the packaging process meets quality standards and identifying defects.
• Technical Skills: Operating and adjusting machine settings, such as speed and temperature.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during operation.
• Safety Awareness: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Production experience in food manufacturing preferred.
