Manufacturing Engineer - Full Time, Lancaster

Are you an expert in Manufacturing looking to drive precision engineering in a cutting-edge environment? Join ALTEN Ltd, a global leader in engineering consultancy, and contribute to the development of high-quality manufacturing processes for advanced components. We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimize NC programming, improve machining efficiency, and support production excellence in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and optimize NC programs for precision machining, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
2. Provide technical support for CNC operations, troubleshooting issues and improving machining processes.
3. Collaborate with design and production teams to refine manufacturing strategies and implement best practices.
4. Conduct process validation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
5. Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and waste reduction.
6. Support project management activities, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in Engineering.
2. Strong expertise in NC programming, machining, and process optimization.
3. Experience with manufacturing process improvement and lean methodologies.
4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
5. Knowledge of CAM software and CNC control systems.
6. Any experience in project management is advantageous.
