Location: Glasgow

Salary: DOE + 4 day week + 33 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays + Benefits + Training

An excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager with a mechanical bias to join a well-established, industry-leading company.

This company is a leading manufacturer within the Oil and Gas, Power, Nuclear, and Water industries, having been established for over 200 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team. In this key role, you will oversee the engineering department(s), managing development, design, and production output. You will be expected to grow and train the team as well as develop continuous improvement and quality.

This role would suit an individual with a mechanical bias and a strong managerial background looking to join a well-established company.

The Role:

1. Overall responsibility for research and development, including all engineering and mechanical designs, material selection, maintaining development schedules, compliance with various design codes and contract requirements, producing progress reports, and all other activities associated with R&D.

The Person:

1. Degree/Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering discipline and/or equivalent job experience.
2. Knowledge of industrial rotating machinery (pumps, motors, etc.)
3. Strong SolidWorks skills, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
