12 Month Industrial Placement Scheme
Discipline: Manufacturing Engineering
Location: Springvale, Northern Ireland
Salary: £24,500, Share Scheme, Pension, Flexible working, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

We currently have some exciting opportunities for industrial placement students to join Caterpillar across several of our sites. You will have the opportunity to work with others across our organisation and you will be directly involved in strategic projects.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible to complete a 12 Month Industrial Placement commencing June 2025, you must be in your penultimate year of study unless enrolled in an integrated master's program.

What experiences can we offer you? During our yearlong scheme, you will work on multiple diverse projects, collaborate with people in Caterpillar facilities worldwide, and gain first-hand experience of Lean Manufacturing.

Job duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  1. Leading production employees to execute the assembly, test and paint processes.
  2. Utilizing Caterpillar Production System (Lean Manufacturing) Principles to deliver improvements.
  3. Supporting efficiency improvement initiatives at the facility.
  4. Updating production standard work documentation.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for open-minded, excellent problem solvers who can learn quickly. Applicants will be on target to achieve a minimum of 2:2 honours degree level in a relevant discipline.

Recruitment Process Guidelines:

  3. Assessment Centre: This will assess a range of behaviours such as teamwork and decision-making.
  4. Offer: After the Assessment Centre, offers will be extended to preferred candidates.
