Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA), one of the UK's foremost independent forgers specializing in the aerospace and industrial sectors, is now looking to recruit a new Manufacturing Engineer.
Operating from a 680,000 sq. ft. facility in Hillsborough, Sheffield, IFA manufactures high integrity forged components in nickel alloys, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon alloys. IFA's clients include tier-one suppliers across aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine, and oil and gas sectors, who depend on IFA for precision, reliability, and top-tier quality.

Do you have a passion for data analysis and process improvement? Independent Forgings and Alloys are now looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join a team focused on analyzing production data to identify ways to improve quality and delivery. You will collaborate with the wider production team to implement improvement initiatives, leveraging your continuous improvement and lean expertise.

Typical Day Might Include:

1. Analyzing yesterday's production data with the view of improving quality or delivery tomorrow.
2. Coordinating and leading Continuous Improvement activities and introducing and refining routing, work instructions, and production documentation.
3. Working with the production team on improvement ideas using your Lean and continuous improvement skills.
4. Drafting a report or putting together a presentation showing the savings your team has made so far.

What Do You Need to Succeed at IFA?

1. Career experience within a Manufacturing, Heavy Process, CNC, or similar environment.
2. Qualified to HNC, HND, or similar qualifications; a Six Sigma Green belt would be advantageous.
3. A proven track record in delivering Lean or Cost Down improvement projects.
4. Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the business.
