Job description

New Model Manufacturing Engineer

Surrey, UK

12 Month Contract

Up to £29.93/hour (via Umbrella)

iO Associates is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join one of our client's growing Manufacturing Engineering department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our business plan, supporting the development of new models and creating processes to ensure the perfection of every model we build.

Key Deliverables:

  • Collaborate with concept design and engineering teams to develop and create processes for new model introductions
  • Lead the creation of vehicle assembly concepts, from virtual environment to physical validation and delivery
  • Develop and document process sequencing and product traceability methodologies
  • Drive the implementation of best practices to improve production efficiency and quality
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through line balancing and facility layout optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in concept/design reviews and engineering release deliveries

Qualifications:

  • Experience in planning and execution of new vehicle programs
  • Strong understanding of complex vehicle systems and assembly processes
  • Familiarity with end-of-line vehicle processing/finishing and assembly equipment procurement
  • Ability to identify and resolve product-related issues in a timely manner
