Manufacturing Engineer

8am-5pm Monday - Friday

My client is a manufacturer and distributor of specialised fluid technology solutions, particularly pump systems. The business serves a range of clients, including mechanical and electrical contractors, civil engineers, and utilities, both domestically and internationally.

They are on the lookout for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a full-time permanent basis where you will be responsible for optimising and enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production operations.

Key Responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  1. Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques.
  2. Provide hands-on technical support to resolve manufacturing issues.
  3. Develop strategies to reduce waste and improve productivity and cost-efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with the Quality team to maintain and enhance standards and metrics.
  5. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by working with Design teams from concept through to production.
  6. Specify, design, and implement tools and equipment that improve efficiency and safety.

Knowledge and skills as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
  3. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with PDM and ERP systems.
