Company Overview:

Hunter Selection are working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great time to join an expanding business, following a period of sustained growth they are looking to introduce new products off the back of recently won contracts. The business is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to bolster their engineering department. This role will suit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with experience of working on tooling design and new product introduction. Role & Responsibilities:

1. To design and create a forming process to meet customers' profile, cosmetic and tolerancing needs.
2. Initial Forming sales quotation and liaising with Sales Team.
3. Forming Tooling design and liaising with internal or external tool makers for manufacture.
4. Initial setup and prove off of new contract to customers and internal specifications.
5. Supervision of initial production runs and process improvements/optimisation.
6. Liaising with Quality, Technical, Operational Sales Teams and Supply Chain Teams.
7. Maintain high standards of individual housekeeping and 5S and be involved in Continuous Improvement activities as they arise.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Previous experience with at least Radial/Flow forming or 3 roll CNC bending at an engineer level.
2. Previous Engineering experience and qualifications are essential.
3. Experience working within a customer and supplier environment.
4. 3D Solidworks or Inventor experience is also desirable, but not essential.
