Job description

Our client is a manufacturer of articulated platforms, arms and robotic controllers mainly used within the film making, video and broadcast industries.

They design and build every aspect of the system at their Sussex base.

They have a requirement for an experienced fitter and machine operator to work in their busy machine shop to manufacture and assemble mechanical sections and sub-assemblies of their products.

Based just north of East Grinstead, operating their manual mills and lathes, you will be working from mechanical drawings, producing, repairing and upgrading assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.

You will already have a proven background of working in a machine shop environment, with precision engineering machinery (lathes and mills), have an attention to detail and work to tight tolerances.

You will have a solid understanding of health and safety requirements of working within a machining industry, ideally with formal training/certificates to support this, and have the ability to work autonomously, demonstrating common sense and strong work ethics.

Hours are flexible, working a 40 hour week Monday to Friday (core hours 10.00am - 4.00pm).
