Position: Manual Machinist
Salary: £35,000 (£17.25 per hour) + overtime at 1.5, Bonus
Location: Bristol BS2
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, early finish Friday
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, sick scheme
Type: Permanent

Our client is a successful and established precision engineering company with a small but friendly team of engineers looking for a skilled manual machinist, milling machinist, lathe machinist.

Responsibilities:

• Manual machining of parts
• Operating manual lathe
• Managing your own workload with jobs allocated from the engineering supervisor
• Working unsupervised on allocated jobs

The ideal candidate will have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled machinist, however, candidates who are time-served in machining could also be suitable if they can demonstrate a suitable track record in manual machining.

The skilled manual machinist should have a history of working in precision engineering, producing small batches and one-offs to fine tolerances.

This role is with a friendly, well-established company who are specialists in their field of engineering and would suit an engineer looking for a role that allows for independent work with minimum supervision.
