Manual Machinist

Abingdon

£35,360 - £39,520 Per Annum

Our client is recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join their growing team! They are leaders in their field and offer support to their customers from concept to commissioning.

Manual Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Produce parts to tight tolerances, using engineering drawings as guides
  • Carry out turning, boring, trepanning, roughing and finishing operations
  • Working with Stainless Steel, alloys, brass, copper and plastics
  • Working on standard sized manual lathe – be willing to learn to use larger machines such as Binns & Berry and Horizontal Borer
The Ideal Manual Machinist will:
  • Ability to use large lathes
  • Be able to perform turning, boring, trepanning, roughing & finishing operations
  • Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Preferably be a time served apprentice with a couple of years post apprenticeship experience
  • Be self-motivated and enthusiastic towards tasks
Working Hours and Benefits:
  • Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
  • 156 hours holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Company Pension scheme
