Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, UK
Salary: 68,000 to 78,000 per annum + Package

This is an exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a high-profile infrastructure project in the West Midlands. This is a unique opportunity to manage the commercial aspects of a complex, large-scale project, ensuring successful delivery while shaping your career within one of the most respected names in the construction industry.

The Role:
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial team, overseeing the financial and contractual management of a major infrastructure project. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing cost control, procurement, and subcontractor relationships.
  2. Preparing and reviewing contracts and tenders.
  3. Ensuring compliance with all commercial processes and procedures.
  4. Providing accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
  5. Supporting the project team in achieving key milestones and objectives.
  6. Leading and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors.
  7. Supporting the Commercial Manager where required with other duties.

We're looking for a commercially astute professional with:

  1. Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on large infrastructure, civil engineering or utilities projects.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including NEC forms.
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  4. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  5. A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
