Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Company: SME manufacturer of precision components (part of a large group) with 25 to 30 headcount.

Role Overview: We are looking for Operations Directors, General Managers, or Operations Managers seeking Managing Director roles in Lincolnshire. This is a highly profitable business and is NOT a turnaround.

Package: Over £100,000 total package. Salary likely to be £85,000 - £90,000 + £7,200 car allowance + company bonus structure (potentially an additional £6,000) + 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) + 10% pension. Please note, candidates seeking over £105,000 as a base salary will be ruled out.

Your Background:

1. Proximity to Gainsborough is preferred; local candidates will be prioritized. If relocating, you should demonstrate a genuine desire to be in the Lincolnshire region.
2. Experience in SME environments, specifically in a 25-30 headcount business.
3. This is NOT a turnaround role; you should be interested in leading a solid, profitable business with a focus on evolution rather than revolution.
4. We are open to candidates looking to step up into this role, including General Managers or Operations Managers wanting to become MDs of a small but highly profitable business.
5. Loyalty and stability are core values; candidates should have demonstrated loyalty and length of tenure in their careers.
6. Industry overlap is not essential, but experience in component manufacturing or understanding of tooling/mechanical engineering processes (e.g., stamping, laser cutting, wire forming) is preferred.
7. We seek a conscientious, reliable, and friendly people-focused leader.

This Managing Director role is based near Gainsborough, commutable from Gainsborough, Lincoln, Worksop, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Newark, and Mansfield.
