Managing the delivery of all training activities within MFS to ensure skill levels are maintained and developed in support of company strategy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensure the provision of the highest possible standard of training for both engineering and administrative staff.
Manage the training school and training team.
Oversee the development of training materials, sourcing information and validating 'best practice' methods and techniques.
Draw up and implement training plans to ensure suitable accreditation for the Marshall Fleet Solutions mobile and depot-based engineering work-force.
Source and manage a range of training providers assessing them for quality, value and impact.
Recruit, develop, motivate and direct trainers and administration staff to deliver the objectives of the training function.
Ensure accurate and comprehensive training records are maintained at least to ISO9000 standards.
Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting on training activities including KPIs.
Oversee the operation of an appropriate apprenticeship scheme to meet the longer-term needs of the business for technical staff.
Keep abreast of developments in technology to ensure the most appropriate methods of delivery are available to the business.
Oversee Engineer Performance Audits to ensure the highest possible quality in servicing, repair and installation when appropriate.
Oversee periodic Sub-Contractor Performance Audits and identify preferred suppliers of sub-contract service and repair to provide brand-enhancing partners when appropriate.
Perform other duties appropriate to the general character of the position, as required.
Education:
Level 3 Teaching Qualification or equivalent
Relevant technical qualification
Desirable: ILM
Experience:
Proven track record in Fridge engineering training
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in the relevant industry
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience of training in a technical environment
Ability to build relationships at all levels in the organisation and with external customers
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
People - coaching and performance management
Computer proficiencies in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
