In a nutshell
Join us as a Manager - Technical Delivery Lead. You will provide comprehensive technical support and oversight to project managers and business analysts across various projects and programmes, contributing significantly to the success of the Enterprise Transformation initiatives. Supporting the Senior Manager - Technical Delivery Lead to ensure that all technical delivery implementations are seamless and without disruptions to operations.

You will be a part of the Technology and Enterprise Transformation team, working with the Senior Manager - Technical Delivery Lead, architects, data teams, and other key delivery stakeholders. Leading on technical delivery providing expertise in high-quality programme and project delivery, demonstrating outstanding problem-solving, change management skills, and outcome delivery.

Day to day

  • Conduct thorough technical reviews from a delivery and supportability remit alongside the assigned architect to identify potential issues/risks and proactively mitigate them.
  • You will be the delegate where applicable for the Senior Manager Technical Delivery Lead who serves as the key delivery technical contact in all steering committee meetings, providing insights, updates, and recommendations on deliverability and supportability aspects of a design.
  • Contribute technical recommendations to projects and programmes, and support the Senior Manager Technical Delivery Lead with technical direction in collaboration with other technology teams, including architecture, infrastructure, service, security, and applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and business analysts across all projects and programmes ensuring seamless transition into operational and reacceptance.
  • Identify portfolio technical risks, develop and manage risk management plans, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Contribute and enforce technical delivery standards and best practices across all projects and programmes.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards aligned with architecture design signed off in DRB (Design Review Board).
  • Deliver technical portfolio activity in an effective and inspired manner, ensuring the programme & project team's delivery expectations are made clear, based on documented enterprise outcomes and that the project is delivered successfully on time and to budget.
  • Establish regular collaboration with Architecture to ensure you are aware of the latest technical direction and guardrails, including any impact analysis on in-flight projects due to changes in technical direction.

About you
You will confidently and expertly manage and lead a team, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and manage across functional boundaries. If you have experience leading technical change design and implementation teams with delivering strong outcomes, we would love to hear from you!

You will also have:

  • Proven experience in technical delivery management, preferably within the airline industry or a similar highly regulated environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.
  • ITIL qualification required; equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification; equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large-scale technical projects within the airline or transportation industry.
  • Strong technical background with experience in modern software, API/event-based architectures, systems integration, and infrastructure management.
  • Evidence of presenting technical information to non-technical colleagues in a coherent way.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others.
  • Experience in working with global and cross-functional teams, across multiple domains and geographies.
