About the Role

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives is accountable for supporting Credit Transformation across Lending Origination. This role is accountable for supporting all aspects of project delivery related to Credit Risk. Working closely with colleagues on the broader program, the role is pivotal in ensuring that Credit Risk systems are able to be seamlessly integrated within the end-to-end origination process with a view to uplifting both Customer and Banker experience.

The individual works under the direction of the Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Change ensuring industry best practice related to decision science, behavioural and application decisioning are embedded within the program.

What will your day look like?

As a Manager, Strategic Initiatives, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, other business units and key stakeholders in Commercial Australia and Credit Risk to ensure timely and effective implementation of Credit Risk platforms and services supporting Lending Origination.
  2. Support the Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Change with the prioritisation of change activity, ensuring the successful adoption of Credit Decisioning Services and Models.
  3. Support the Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Change with financial forecasts for project deliverables related to Credit Risk Infrastructure and Projects.
  4. Support the development and implementation of Credit strategies and models that monitor financial risk indicators across the Commercial Lending portfolio.
  5. Support the adoption of standardised delivery processes for integrating Credit Risk and Decision Infrastructure within the Wholesale Lending Origination program.
  6. Promote and ensure adherence with the ANZ Delivery Framework for initiative implementation.
  7. Demonstrate ANZ values, culture and new ways of leading, adapting behaviour to changing demands and fostering team and business unit collaboration.
  8. Work with peers across Lending Transformation, Lend and Grow and the enterprise to foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and growth within the Enterprise Delivery Community.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. Domain expertise of Credit related platforms and industry standards such as decision science, machine learning, model management and infrastructure.
  2. Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex projects within Financial Services.
  3. Ability to create all project related artefacts and presentations with minimal direction including Business Requirements, Traceability Matrices, Test Cases and Scenarios, etc.
  4. Proficient in the use of project tools, such as MS Project, Asana, Signavio, JIRA, Confluence, Xray, etc.
  5. Experience in fostering strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring targeting communications based on strategic importance of the initiative to the individual Business needs.
  6. Extensive experience collaborating with senior executives, including the provision of subject matter advice and expertise related to model management, implementation and development.
  7. Demonstrated ability to pivot ways of working to suit a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
  8. Experience across multiple project management methodologies and techniques, with the ability to select the appropriate framework for the problem/ domain.
  9. Ability to actively listen, use judgement and make sound decisions.
  10. Knowledge of lending lifecycle in a Commercial/Business Banking or Credit Transformation/Integration context.
